Daylight Savings

Visualizing Daylight Savings Time Changes

Spring forward, fall back. What actually happens during the daylight savings time change? World Cal helps you understand the changing of the clocks, and plan accross times.

In the USA in March, clocks go forward one hour at 2:00 AM. What that basically means is that an hour is “deleted” from the day. The opposite happens in November with an hour being inserted. If you find this hard to visualize, view your own timezone in World Cal. Here you can clearly see where the hour disappeared and plan your life accordingly. Useful if you want to plan things the day-of, or simply see how much sleep you’ll get (and maybe go to bed earlier).

You can add calendar events to get an easy visualization of how your sleep schedule gets affected as well.
