Travel Planning

World Calendar is great to visualize travel over multiple timezones and plan connections and other events.

Plane flights are often hard to visualize. You know it’s 14 hours, and you know it starts at 9pm PT, landing 10am +2. Now with World Calendar you can create an event for this flight, even selecting different timezones for the start and end—and then view the 14 hour trip over both timezones, seeing what time you depart in both timezones, and arrive. Now the “+2” part becomes easier to understand.

This makes it easiier to track friends and know when they are boarding their flights, as well as plan things like meals or regular medication (your stomach doesn’t care what time it is in New York).

World Calendar’s color scheme alternates every 12 hours (approximating night and day) so you can easily visualize the passage of time while travelling. Being able to look ahead, and not just see the current time is convenient for planning too, like seeing when your contact in another timezone will wake up.
